If you are a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and you renewed your membership on or before June 1, 2025, you are eligible to vote for the 2025-2027 Executive Board. But how?
There isn’t a link on NABJ’s website where members can easily vote and the links on other candidates’ websites just explain voting eligibility. For those confused by how to navigate the process this year, I created a short video that explains how to find voting information in your email. The video is below.
But for those of you who don’t like watching videos, here are the instructions:
First, log into the email address you used to sign up for your NABJ membership.
Once you’ve logged in, do a search for “It’s Time to Vote! The 2025 NABJ Election is Now Open!” This should deliver an email from noreply@eballot.com with the sender name “NABJ.”
The email says…
Dear Voting Member:
The 2025 NABJ Election is now open for online voting. Your voting access information is below.
Your vote is crucial in determining our association’s future. As you prepare to cast your ballot, please remember you can review candidates’ information here.
To view a candidate’s biography and statement, click on the DETAILS link next to the candidate’s name.
VOTING PROCESS
The Voting Link is: https://eballot.app/nabj/login.cfm (Note: to log into this site you will need to retrieve your login and password from that email, so it’s kind of useless to try to do this without the email.)
Instructions: Voting is open from 12:01 a.m. ET, July 14, through 4 p.m. CT/5 p.m. ET, Aug. 8. Please read the instructions to securely log in and vote. You can vote from any computer, tablet or smartphone with Internet access.
Search for that email to vote.
I also reached out to the NABJ elections committee to ask if there was a standard link on the website that members could use. Here’s the response I was sent:

Thank you for your email and patience. Please direct those individuals to email nabjelections@nabj.org for assistance. Also you can provide them with the following information.
2025 NABJ eligible voters who joined or renewed by June 1, 2025, as outlined in the official election rules and timeline, should have received a ballot via email. If voters are unable to locate their ballot and need additional assistance with voting, please have them contact Votenet Solutions at 866-984-3125 between 9 AM and 5 PM ET, or email help@eballot.com. All messages will receive a response within one business day. When reaching out, please ask them to identify themselves as an NABJ voter by providing their full name and email address.
